Help the Garden Grow
Belize Botanic Gardens is a not-for-profit organization registered with the Government of Belize, since 1997. Most of our revenue is generated through local and international visitors, classes, plant sales and grants. We have also been fortunate to received many generous donations from organisations and individuals.
Ways You Can Help
Make a Donation
Your donation can help fund a youth education program, strengthen the development of our conservation efforts through plant collections, support an exhibit, sponsor a class-trip or be used toward the purchase of tools & equipment, to assist in the maintenance of the Gardens.
If you would like to help us to continue to conserve and preserve Belize’s botanic and cultural heritage, while extending learning opportunities for Belize students through our environmental education services to the local community, and educational institutions, please consider making a donation.
Donations can be sent to Belize Botanic Gardens, Box 180, San Ignacio, Cayo, Belize. When you make a donation your name will be added to our Donation tree, located inside the BBG front-office.
If you like, you can make a US tax deductible donation through our partner, Montgomery Botanical Center in Florida.

The cost of an annual individual membership is US $200 and $250 for a family. Membership starts from the day of purchase, allowing unlimited access to the Garden for one year. Your membership also includes unlimited access to the Macal river’s best beach for recreation and swimming in the area.
If you are going to be outside the country for awhile, you can arrange to let a Belizean person or family take advantage of your membership, while you are away.
Be a Volunteer
Volunteers and interns have played a vital role in making Belize Botanic Gardens such a unique and wonderful place to visit. We value and deeply appreciate those who volunteer and consider them important ambassadors because, whether on site or wherever they are in the world, they contribute to developing and promoting our reputation.
Becoming a volunteer at Belize Botanic Gardens is a great way to visit, help out and get to know our staff and the local community. Volunteers carry out a wide range of activities and tasks, from garden maintenance, to assisting us with local school visits and organizing exhibitions.
